This is a huge non-story. A&M isn't "ducking" the Cotton Bowl. The Capital One Bowl gets to pick first. The Capital One Bowl thinks Texas A&M is its best pick. The Cotton Bowl would LOVE a Texas/Texas A&M match. It would easily be the best non-BCS bowl of the year. But it's not up to the Cotton Bowl.

One slight issue I have with the Cotton Bowl is that it is televised by Fox, not ESPN, like every other bowl except the Sun Bowl which is televised by CBS.

By virtue of not being on an ABC/ESPN channel, you lose a lot of the talk/advertisement for the bowl.
