Could things be better than that? Yea, if we could get our feet under us recruiting. Talent level and depth are the reasons for concern not everyone's obsession with Pinkels personal life.

I'm not obsessed with Pinkel's personal life except insofar as it affected his job performance. And I think that it quite likely did.
Alden is a sharp guy. He knows that coffee-fetch surfer boy isn't an SEC-level coordinator. So whatever mubobby says, I can almost guarantee that there's been discussions about it between Pinkel and Alden. I frankly think Steckel is a Peter principle hire as well, but it's not as glaringly obvious.
