You would think that UGA would have the advantage, with the game being in their backyard and all, but I think the crowd will probably be close to a 50-50 split... maybe even a slight crowd edge to Bama.

Well it's not like Atlanta is far from Alabama.I imagine it'll be pretty even.

The AJC had a story about this a few days ago...

The smartest people took care of business 20 years ago. When the SEC Championship started in 1992, the league offered annually renewable tickets for face value. With the game played in Birmingham the first two years and featuring Alabama (versus Florida), many Alabama residents bought them.
Hence, Georgia, located just 70 miles from the Dome, may not see a homefield advantage. According to SEC officials, annual championship game sales have renewed on average rate of 96 to 98 percent from year-to-year. That means that most of those Crimson Tide fans who jumped on the 1992 deal to buy renewable tickets are probably still taking advantage of it today.

Wait until the fourth quarter and it'll be 90 percent Georgia.

weak. this might work on a team that hasn't been there within the last 2 years.

Anytime I went when Bama was in it (94, 96, 99, 08, 09) it's never been 50-50.

Bama will probably own the place but their last 3 losses were in front of 100k of their own so it isn't really a big deal.

because Bama fans are already buying up the tickets to Miami.

This.Whether it's 50/50 or 60/40, 70/30 even, it's not gonna have any effect on the outcome of the game.

Thing is we have to go back 3 years to count that many losses. You guys have 3 in 2012 alone.

LOL, didn't even flame and you took it as one. I'm sure Alahunter thread will make you a thread tomorrow to ease your insecurity.
It was just an observation that the crowd will probably have little effect on the game. Your fellow Bama fan even agreed with me.

Oh come on. Get real. You know you had a little bit of fire in your piss when you posted that. If you had really wanted to say "the crowd will probably have little effect on the game," then you would have said, oh, I don't know, maybe something like: the crowd will probably have little effect on the game.

No, the general consensus from most posters from what I've seen, and even the poster I was replying to, is that Alabama will probably have a bigger presence in the Georgia Dome being they travel well. And I was just saying (or IMPLYING if it makes you feel better), that doesn't necessarily work to Bama's favor anyway, seeing that they seem to play better on the road. No need to be so defensive.
