Question regarding past champions

I'm getting sick of hearing about how we don't deserve to play for a national championship. I have tried to reason with people about how incredible our defense is, or how Gurley is a beast, and even how we beat Florida! One question that I have a problem with is, "who was the last national champion that got beat like a high school team in the same season?" Sorry guys, but I need some help to justify my homerism!
Thanks
Thanks

Let's see.....
Oklahoma got to play for a MNC after losing their conference championship game by the exact same score UGA lost to Carolina. LSU won an MNC with 2 losses which included one to Kentucky. Florida lost to Ole Miss and still won the MNC. The examples are endless.
Best perspective though is that Notre Dame is the only undefeated team in the top ten.
It's pretty uncontroversial this year.
Honest Question: Why are you taking lip from morons?

Can't find a winner that got their doors blown off like UGA did in USCe but Oklahoma made the title game despite losing 35-7 to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship.

2001 Nebraska played for it all despite being beaten like a rented mule by Colorado (62-36) in a loss that kept them from the Big 12 title game.
2003 Oklahoma got the same treatment from Kansas State and played for it all.
2003 LSU got beat at home by Florida in a 19-7 game that wasn't really that close.
2006 Florida lost 27-17 to Auburn because their special teams melted down
To my knowledge, those are the only four teams that played for a BCSCG with a double digit loss on the resume, and of course LSU went on to win.

2007 LSU's two losses were to two average at best teams in Kentucky and Arkansas and they won it all.

Quote me if i'm wrong. But in UGA's history...don't we have a winning record against defending national champions. Remember when lsu won the mnc in 2003....the nxt year we beat the brakes off of them 45-16. Please richt and bobo...make this lifelong uga fan a very very happy man by whipping the elephants

We're down to two games until History........
I invite any and all trolls to set their soft-balls on the tee.
Side Note: Switching to a poly-phasic sleeping schedule this week so as to enjoy every second.......
