While I think bama would certainly win, I do not believe it would be a massive blowout.

Notre Dame does have the number 1 scoring defense in the country. They would keep it closer than expected and Bama would not just march up and down the field.

Agreed. Two ball control offenses with good defenses = no huge blowout.

I'd personally love to see the game, and no I'm only half homer.

I think Notre Dame matches up fairly well with Alabama. The strength of their defense (which is very good) is in their front 7. I think they can seriously slow or hinder Alabama's rushing attack. Their defense also is pretty good about getting a lot of pressure and sacks on the quarterback.

Golson is a weak link for them, but he has been improving. He's also very quick and agile which could give the Alabama defense some trouble.

The Notre Dame tight end (Eifert) would be a huge miss match for the Alabama secondary. He could have a huge day if Sunseri was covering him. Also, their running back (Riddick) was a former receiver, so you really never know where he could lineup.

Give Saban that much time to prepare is difficult for any opposing team, but Brian Kelly isn't exactly chopped liver.

I'm not saying Notre Dame will win, but I'm not exactly saying they'll lose either. Alabama hasn't really impressed me in the Ole Miss, LSU, and Texas A&M games so I think it would be a good game. If I had to bet on it...

Alabama - 21
Notre Dame - 13
