This thread is nothing but a variation of about 1000 different threads I've read since visiting, commenting on, and generally enjoying this site.
About the topic: My oldest son is deaf and goes to a university (1000 miles away from home) that specializes in helping him achieve the highest possible academic standards in his gifted area of expertise. No SEC school comes close. He says "we" and post here regularly. My father, who served and died in Vietnam, was a huge Bama fan - though I don't remember him, I'm sure he said "we" at some point. My step father, who could not afford college, but worked three jobs (I still remember him having to sandpaper the calluses on his huge hands) for 20 years to put his kids and step-kids through school loves Alabama football and says "we" still today.
So, to even ask this question and/or to comment negatively about it, shows just how little you truly know about the world. This thread becomes nothing more than a stupid, ignorant, and hate-filled thread - just like the other 1000 stupid, ignorant, hate-filled threads I have read here on the same topic. All continued by pieces of slime who have nothing better to do than spew garbage and (attempt to) humiliate others so that they can feel better about themselves . . . or to get a from an audience of others just like them.
Administrators, please read through this crap and realize that this is the highest form of trolling/flaming that you are trying to contain. And please, please put these threads, once and for all, out of their misery.

I think alumni have a connection to the University that makes the football aspect more personal. I'm sure there are plenty of amazing and dedicated tshirt fans, but I'm not sure they care as much about the school the football team is supposed to represent.
