Serious question because I don't know his complete background. How is it possible Yost has gotten to the point of being an OC for a team in the SEC? How did he get from Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and coaching his high school team to coaching at Mizzou? Kent State connection somehow?

I'm sure I don't know the whole story. But I know he never played football, even in H.S.

I believe he started as an office errand boy, a coffee runner type of guy at Toledo. He's elevated himself to OC from there.. I don't get it.

Mike Leach is a guy who never played college ball, but he did play in H.S. And he is a brilliant man so he can pull it off. Yost, not sure he's on the same IQ level as a MIke Leach.

Sounds to me like he's a great salesman. Probably sold a line of BS (and I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way) to get the first job and each one since then. Probably also what makes him so good at recruiting.

I'd say that sounds about right. He definitely has qualities to his personality, just not sure they equate to being a good OC. Hopefully they start to see that.

And I edited that other response, I meant to say I'm sure I *don't know the whole story.

We discussing hoops, yet? Don't know why I am even reading this, as I am so done watching Mizzou not play football. But you may have hit the mark on your salesman line. He must be sincere and personable guy....just doesn't OC with any finesse.

Taking cheap shots at Pinkels' personal life is petty and childish. Especially when you don't know what's going on in the mans life. Sometimes when people are married as long as they have been, they grow apart and she may have wanted the divorce as much as him to start a new life.

If this is the case, and you find yourself at his age, and can be with a hot, younger woman, I say more power to him.

Your first part is correct, I am childish. But you don't pay 20+ grand a month from a mutual divorce. He got caught the night of the jumbo wine incident.

This second part isn't correct. Can't build your career on family and loyalty then toss your wife to the curb for something younger and still be honorable.

I didn't know he got caught that night other than the dwi. Not trying to be a dick, because I honestly don't know, but enlighten me. Any links?

I guess I don't know for sure either. I just added the rumors together with my opinion and decided to say he got caught that night. I figure that night created some questions from his wife that he didn't have very good answers for.

Either way, this spawns off of your suggestion that it may have been a mutual split where they both wanted out, but I think its clear he was unfaithful and that's why they got divorced.

I guess I'll talk out of my arse too.

There are way to many odd coinsidences happening this year to come to any other logical conclusion on Pinkel.

Sorry man, not all things make it to light in the media, but one can surley add bits and pieces of the ones that do.

I never have really liked Pinkel anyways.

No offense jafo, but...

They have been married, what, almost 40 years? You're right all things don't come to light, but using your same logic, who's to say she hadn't cheated on him during this time?

And who's to say that him giving her that much money on the divorce settlement...that he realizes they spent most of their lifes together, he understands and appreciates it, and felt it was the honorable thing to do?

People can read into this situation any way they want to, but smearing the character of a man like mogray did is pathetic, in my humble opinion.

If taking the OC away from Yost meant losing him all together, would you do it? His recruiting and all? I just don't think you can demote him to strip him of OC status but keep him for the parts you want, recruiting. I would move on myself. The offense is pathetic. Surely there are other recruiters/QB coaches out there that can do that portion of the job just as well if not better.

1. Who's to say she didn't cheat on him? I do. I have enough confidence in my common sense to say that. And for you to say that I'm talking out of my arse is absurd. At worst I'm making an educated guess, that is far from speaking out of my arse.

2. Are you insane? You think he decided to give her 20,000+ a month because he appreciated her. Really? Then why did a judge have to settle it? Use some logic and sense.

God god dude, take your fricking meds and chill. Maybe she was wanting alot more and he felt she was crossing the line on what was fair. You assume way too fricking much, and you know what they say when you assume.

That's a great question. I know one thing, I want Yost out of the OC position. All I can say is the AD better have a damn good list of candidates that he knows will take the job if Pinkel walks. And the new guy better be a damn good recruiter, preferably with some SEC ties.

I understand the frustration with this coaching staff, I really do because I'm equally frustrated. However, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Tenn is a perfect example of this.

Sorry I'm not someone that needs everything spelled out, I am confident with applying some reason to things unknown.

One with any reason can assume he was unfaithful, or at the very least dumped her for a better option. You're definitely in the minority on this.

Actually you do need everything spelled out for you, but even then, you have more BS to spout off about.

Any normal person would of been ashamed of themselves for posting the shite you did in the other thread. Your thoughts and opinions mean nothing to me anymore. You're a fricking imbalanced nutcase and fool. I'm done responding to your idiotic thoughts and assumptions. Seek some fricking help.
