Give Pinkel some more heartburn and let the boys really have some fun this Saturday?

I think the goal for this week is to show we can focus and take care of business. SHSU is actually a very good football team, they just don't have the talent to keep up with A&M. We need to go out and put this game away in the 1st half with no injuries and let the backups get lots of time. Period.
If we do anything out of the ordinary it would be leaving in JFF a little longer than necessary to rack up some stupid stats and keep his Heisman campaign rolling. He could go for 600 yards of O if we let him, just don't know if Sumlin will.

I want to JFF to win the Heisman more than anyone, but if we get the game in the bag, between having to choose between padding stats and Showers getting game time, I'd pick Showers getting game time. We need him to be comfortable and ready to go if needed against Missouri and the upcoming bowl game if something happens. He's played pretty good when he's gone in and can continue to build on that.
Edit: Johnny needs 220 passing yards to get the 3k/1k that only 2 QBs have ever done. He'll easily get it this week.

I doubt we show anything new at all. Basically every SEC game we've pulled out new plays. This staff prefers to surprise teams with stuff they've never seen rather than show stuff to make them practice it.
addendum: the g robber look was a great wrinkle. AJ was stunned. And what made it even more perfect is we slid into it from a cover 2 look and the very first time we did we created a pick. Snyder flat out rocked that game

Anyone else notice the "fish" formation near the goal line (hide the short RB behind the massive line and have him run around)?

I think that we show as little as we can afford to against SHSU.
I know Mizzou is down this year, but they will be the first team in a long while that is going to use the passing game as anything more than a way to keep the defense honest, and our secondary still scares the hell out of me.
