Bama was only playing for a field goal with almost 2 minutes left. LSU was had to score a td with over half the amount of time. Different play calling for the 2 different situations.

LOL....NO

LSU missed the FG with 1:34 left in the game. That means Bama only had 1:34 seconds in the game to score something.

Yeldon scored with 0:51 left in the game. That means that LSU had 0:51 left to score something.

1:34 - 0:51 = 0:43

This means that Bama's 73 yard drive only took 43 seconds...which is LESS than the amount of time LSU had on the clock when they got the ball back.

LSU and Mettenberger showed how NOT to run a 2 minute offense when they got the ball. They were literally clueless on what to do in every aspect. Bama wasn't.

Bama was clueless on how to run the 13 minute offense.

Amazing Mettenberger had the game of his life vs that defense. I guess everyone was right.

That doesn't negate the fact that Bama was playing with a much shorter field and had more time to work with. LSU NEEDED a TD, Bama NEEDED a Fg. 2 completely different situations with 2 completely different playbooks for each.

FlukerFlakes, you get it. That was the intent of the original post I just phrased it incorrectly. Of course it's always a sign of an empty hand when the only comeback another poster has is grammar and spell check.

You are spot on with Mett and LSU having no clue as to how to run a 2 minute O and thay have been given a free pass on it because they played the other 29 min and 9 sec of the second half so well. When the rubber met the road Mett folded like a napkin.
