Question for both Alabama and LSU fans about last Bama drive

Alabama fans:
When drive started, did you think the game was over and you were leaving with a loss?
If so, at what point in the drive did you begin to think, you know we can do this?
LSU fans:
When drive started, did you think we were going to win this game?
At what point in the drive did you start to think, this will not end well?
My answers:
When drive started I thought we would intercept AJ and would be a fitting end.
When I realized the LSU coaching staff said oh chit, we win this game, we have no SEC rep in the National Championship game....lol Nah, when Alabama crossed midfield, I said, this is not going to be good

Too soon. You're going to make me start McCryin.

I knew it was over when Les elected to kick field goal instead of punting

I knew we were going to lose when I saw us play in the crappy 3rd and Chavis D that let USC, A&M, and Bama first half all just march right down the field and score on us.

For me I thought that this was AJ's last chance to prove he's elite. Can he win the game when he's asked to? He did. After the second completion I knew it was gonna happen, but when Yeldon took it end I broke the sound barrier.

when Bama got the ball back and were down by 3 with 1:30 left, i knew they still had a good chance.
as soon as Norwood made that first catch and run, i knew it was ON

It all happened so quick because we were just letting them catch balls in front of us.
I just don't get it.
We are now 3 for 3 in giving up touchdowns in the last three weeks in the 4th quarter when we go into the prevent.
We have the best fricking defense in the country, and we don't trust them to make stops when the game is on the line.
frick that shite.

When I noticed our corners were playing 15 to 20 yards off the WRs, I had a very bad feeling.

I had a feeling that we may not win well before the drive started, specifically when we had a loss on second down and had to deal with a tough 3rd & long call on the next to last drive.
After the first couple of completions I knew we were in trouble.

Yes.
When Norwood caught the second pass we were pretty much in FG range.

I felt like we were going to lose. I was thinking about what I would say: Good Game LSU. You played Alabama's game. Kept the ball for 40 minutes, sustained long drives, wore the defense down, had no turnovers. You deserved the win.
Actually that pretty much still stands. I think the prevent killed you. AJ and Norwood (and everyone else) had to execute but it had to be easier against the prevent coverage. Still, we got it done, and got the win. I'll take it, but LSU played the better game. I won't concede LSU was the better team--but you were better last night.
Roll Tide.

I never think "it's over" until the logistics are completely beyond rational hope (like being down by 6 with no timeouts and the opponent snapping the ball...I don't actually believe we're going to slap it out of his hands and recover it.)
But I can't say I expected us to do it. More like still clung to hope. Once he completed the second pass, I thought we would do it.

If it came down to a field goal, I liked LSU's chances.

I lost faith but I never lost hope. I will never lose faith again.

when we got the ball back i grabbed the last 2 beers out of the bucket and headed outside to start smoking... literally double fisting bud light, black & mild chiefing, watching through a window at a bar/restaraunt. i scared the shite out of 2 girls walking in when yeldon scored

I already started a thread congratulating LSU

LSU may have been giving us the FG and they were playing deep..they knew they had the advantage at home in overtime. We just beat them on the screen to Yeldon

I was telling myself I was entirely too old to get upset about college kids playing football and that everyone looses.
I am glad my team did not have the same attitude.
I am ashamed of myself

Shelley is perfect this year. I was confident he could at least take it to OT

First completion I stood up, second one I felt confident, when Yeldon caught the pass I started yelling.
