I really hope he is the real deal, because Corbin Berkstresser and James Franklin obviously aren't!

But of course we won't see this stud play until who knows when. Gotta love Pinkel QB loyalty.

I'm more pissed Pinkel decided to put Franklin back in harms way instead of letting Berk finish the game. All they did was run the ball with Franklin in there anyways. Could have done the same with Berk and save Franklin.

I am now convinced Berk is not the QB for this offense.

I was one that thought berky could play. Time to admit I was way wrong. I saw him in HS and thought he would translate.

OK, then next year we have....Franklin, Berkstresser, Mauk, Hosick and Printz.

I think Franklin is the one to run the offense. If he's injury free. But knowone knows anything about Mauk. Hosmer and Printz are just as much a mystery as Mauk. Who know's. I do like Printz's game though. He looks good on film for sure. I guess we'll find out next spring when the redshirt comes off.

Hey I'm right there with ya. I think he can still play.....in a conventional offense. Not in a spread, or at least our spread scheme.

Yeah, it was kinda odd they put Franklin in to just hand the ball off and throw some bubble screens.. But I think it will help him not be as rusty next week.. so I'm happy it worked out.

And Mauk.. I just think people have a misguided perception of him because of his records. If I had to make a bet, I'd say Printz will be our next multi year starter after Franklin. But who knows..

Hosmer plays first base for the Royals. Maybe you are thinking about Trent Hosick?

I didn't know if Berk was the answer or not but I felt it was time to give him he a shot. Well he's had his shot now and I'll admit too that he's not the answer. Having said that, Franklin ain't the answer either. Mauk may be all numbers but I hope he's more than that because we are less than mediocre if Franklin or Berk are our best options next year.

i might just have to give up on all mizzou boards in general. The bitching and moaning about Yost, Franklin, Berkstresser, etc. is beyond ridiculous.

It's cool if you think Yost's play calling has been fine or that Franklin/Berkstresser have what it takes to lead this team to compete in the SEC. But I also think it's ok if others want to critique or talk about what they see as shortcomings. I haven't seen anyone here jumping all over them without some rational reason behind it. If anyone has done that, it's probably me talking about Franklin. It's all good and I'll still be rooting for Franklin come this Saturday.
