If we are such a premier program and they are so rinky-dink why do you keep making excuses as to why the game was close ?

I promise you if you congratulate them for a helluva an effort no one will revoke your man card. Honest.

There are a few prevailing extremist attitudes on sports message boards today-- a couple of which are those that believe every win is a thorough domination of their opponent, and every loss can be thoroughly mitigated through moral victories. I hate both.

A&M lost. I got over it before the next round of games was over last saturday evening and I'm excited as hell for the Auburn game. I'm not going to make excuses for how we lost, but I'm not going to sit here and act like we got blown out by 50, either.

Dude I started this thread and the point of it had nothing to do with degrading them or claiming LSU's greatness. It was having a discussion if A&M should have thrown the ball as much in a highly contested game. I showed plenty of respect to them see my several posts.

I honestly think with more patience they win. The TO where the game and most came in INts. Less passes= less INts

This.

From my perspective, it is the conclusion that the gap between A&M and LSU is measured in "galaxies" that drives these threads to 40 pages. I watched the game. I didn't see galaxies. I saw depth at every position for LSU and I saw a little better speed defense. I would not trade a single player on offense.

This game was close, despite 5 A&M turnovers to LSU's 0 and leaving 4 near-certain points on the field with shitty kicking. Some of you ask who would win more if we played the game 10 times? That calls for speculation, but based on this game alone, it wouldn't be lopsided in favor of LSU. I think all 10 games could go either way. Tell me you wouldn't be saying the same thing if you were the losing team in this game.

I can admit all day long that the gap between A&M and Ole Miss very little if anything. The gap between A&M and La Tech very little (as a team). Hell, Auburn and Arkansas have equal or better talent than A&M, but it appears that the use of said talent is the problem.

It's a pride thing, I know. So I am not going to press any of you to admit anything. I will just leave it at that.
