Looks like he may have been one of the most overrated assistants in quite some time.

I'm happy with the current situation.
Chizik recommended Manny to Mack. That should tell you all you need to know.

Wilson has done just as well if not better, I'll keep where we are now.

Keep Wilson. Screw Manny. Wilson has been better for our program all the way around.

Manny would still be good if he was at State. Texas has been a dumpster fire for the past few years. He's had a good D everywhere but Texas. I would take him back on staff as a CoDef Coordinator like he was with Wilson before he left, but this time he would have to be under Wilson.

Nope. We good. Hate it for him though. Is a dynamic coach but he was brought in to fix an abortion that only the removal of Mack Brown will remedy.

Wouldn't want him back at this point...
He inherited a much, much more talented defense at State than anyone realized at the time. Looking back at that 2010 D, it had 9(will be) drafted NFL starters, including 2 first rounders, along with quite a few more guys that will get a shot in the league who were in backup roles...
Loved his aggressive style, but it would get us burned occasionally as well. Wilson is much more conservative overall, which is annoying at times, but the end result is actually a notable amount better.
