And, in the end, this hurt us much more than originally expected. It ended up being too late in the recruiting game to grab another running back to make 2 for the 2012 class, and Jovon Robinson ended up not qualifying. Now Jordan Wilkins suffered a serious leg injury, and we might struggle to grab another top ranked running back in the 2013 class because of overall record and negative recruiting.

I thought Jovon qualified - he was on campus. What happened there?

He tried to decommit twice within a month leading up to the dead period and the AU coaches were successful in talking him out of it. That's to their credit, to an extent. He had been waffling for several months (like 3). He continued to give our staff reasons to aggressively recruit him, they did, and he switched (about a month after he originally wanted to).

I get the frustration from the AU fans' side. I'd be pissed too. However, TJ is a good kid. He's one of those who tries to make everyone happy. The guy did it when he did b/c it was the only way to insure he'd get to do what he wanted without being made to feel guilty or talked out of it (for a 3rd time).

Think about your staff. Think about those involved in his recruitment and how you feel about them today. Do you think it is possible that the company line of "we never saw this coming" is actually not true b/c he tried to let them know more than once?
