I just spent 45 minutes driving 8 miles to get home. It took me 20 minutes just to get off campus. They've got cops at all of the major intersections blocking access to campus, which I get, but why the frick is anyone headed to campus in the first place? Why isn't every goddamn radio and TV station in Brazos County telling people to stay off the roads.

All of the traffic on University headed west from the bypass is being forced by the cops to turn on Texas, but they're letting them go south or north (away from campus), and most of them are going south. That's also a street bordering campus. It's no less "on-campus" than University, and because of these assholes bringing Texas to a standstill (and clogging the intersection of Texas and University), those of us on University, trying to get off-campus, couldn't get anywhere.

Jesus Christ, we've got the Texas Transportation Institute on campus. These are supposed to be some of the biggest experts in the country at moving people, and this is the best that we can do?

The smart evacuees are the ones who hoofed it over to the bars on Northgate. The roof of the campus bar was packed. I've got to move back to main campus, so I can get shitfaced during the next bomb threat!

USAF Chief of Staff and a General from 1 Marines are (were) on campus today.

Easterwood has now halted air traffic in and out.

With the rash of bomb threats, I understand that colleges across the nation are populated with idiot students who panic when they aren't prepared, but the tin foil hat side of me says this many threats seem to be a probe by some bad guys.
