Completely agree.
Statistically speaking, Banks is not even close.
I agree that you can't break up passes if the opponent does not throw to your side. Milliner is doing an outstanding job of defending passes that are thrown to the receiver he is defending.
I think he will be the first CB taken in the draft. He has speed, length, and videotape that demonstrate he will succeed in the NFL.

I remember in the preseason/offseason I was saying Milliner would be a first round CB.
People laughed.
I knew I was right.

The thing is Milliner isn't really being thrown at much more than Banks, he's just breaking up EVERYTHING that comes near him.

So does Banks and he has 3 picks. Yes, I know Dee has 2, they are both extremely talented.

Teams are behind and have to throw against Bama, who has great defenders at every position. Unlike MSU, where Banks is one of the few outstanding defenders on their defense. There is other low hanging fruit to attack at MSU, not so much at Bama.

Dee has missed one game, and should have more INTs than 2. against Arky I don't think he intercepted the ball, I think it touched the ground, BUT the video didn't show enough to overturn the call on the field. Also, he would've had another against OM had HaHa not knocked it away.
Posted on 10/16/12 at 6:40 pm to AllBamaDoesIsWin
Yeah. Milliner would have had that INT had HaHa not been there to knock it down and that INT against Arkansas should have been upheld but it was not. And, as was stated above, he missed the Western Kentucky game.

So, we didn't play Tyler Wilson and James Franklin, but do you think Johnny Football will be a determining factor in just how good this secondary really is? We have to respect his ability to run the football, and aTm has two first round tackles.

JFF isn't that accurate and doesn't make the best decisions on downfield throws, this weekend against UT will be a much better test. I am really looking forward to watching the play by play from the stadium I think it will shed some light onto what is actually happening in the SEC to this point.

Milliner was meh in 2010 and was a beast last year, but he mainly played Nickel and our starting D was on the field for less downs than anyone elses in the country.

I agree, if we can rush UT though CP and Hunter won't even matter, but this will do wonders for the draft stocks of Belue and Milliner if they shut them down regardless of what the pressure is doing.
Of course Milliner is already a first rounder so yeah, it'll help Belue a lot more.

Milliner would be a great nickleback for us.

Forgot about the 2 pick 6s on Tebow I suppose... and being #2 in career ints in all of FBS.

Milliner will be a first round pick as a junior. Banks is a senior. If Banks is so good why did he return for his senior year? I would expect his career stats to be better since this is his fourth year and Milliner's third.

That's good. But, we're talking bout this year.
Career stat wise Robert Lester is even more impressive. 3 less picks in 14 less games played
