Dave Matter tweeted Pinkel saying that. I'll put the tweet on when I'm on my computer.

ETA:
quote:

"@Dave_Matter: Pinkel on Franklin returning for Kentucky game: "I don't know if we're going to get James back." Says same on Morse, Meiners"

I like Berk's potential and Franklin's experience. I really don't care who it is but we need 1 QB. Not knowing who will be the QB for a game is terrible. It makes everyone on the offense uncertain and makes gameplanning difficult.

Meh, why am I not surprised. Sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield. This season we are the bug.

We should still be able to beat UK. God forbid.

What are the chances that a redshirt Mauk or someone else steps up next year? With this year being what it is, it's hard for me to get excited about next year if it's Franklin or Berk again.

this. IMHO I don't think Berk desserves the spot and they will let Mauk develop more. Mauk starting next year is similar to Berk playing this year. They don't want to be in this situation again.

I think Corbin can lead us to a win against UK. I feel like ASU is a FAR superior team to UK in almost every way.

Just need to worry about getting Franklin back for the Florida game.

Bowl eligible is not out of the question but some things are gonna have to fall into place.

Keep the faith.

Apparently the only team in this entire state that knows how to truly win are the stl cardinals! We will see after UK, but if that's a loss some major changes better be coming

What happens if Berk is lights out against Kentucky? I think he can sling the ball if given time and he may have more time in the Kentucky game than he had in the Arizona State game and certainly more than the Alabama and South Carolina games.

Well we can only hope that is what happens because we are going to be underdogs in the rest of the SEC games this year. If we don't beat UK, it'll just solidify this season as an unmitigated disaster

I just hope if we jump out to a lead on Kentucky, Pinkel doesn't take the foot off the gas. He needs to let the players take out some of that frustration and lay it on. I hate when he starts going into prevent offense and defense in the 3rd quarter.

Agreed i feel we could probably get Tennessee still, they seem as lost as we do. I can only hope pinkel sees this season as a wakeup call and the status quo will not cut it

Why is it such a bad thing to let Franklin heal up. This is where we should have been starting the year. They rushed Franklin back and he got busted up. Now they are doing the right thing by letting him heal.

Berkstresser can get it done, but he needs help. Starting with catching the damn ball. Runn good routes, get the hell open. The O-line needs to block. They need to just get nasty and kick somebodies arse on the field. It's not like they are undersized. Yost could start also by calling different plays and actually try to establish a run game and quit being cute and predictable. DGB, where'd ya go? Act like the #1 recruit in the nation and not a drug thug.

The optimist in me says if we can get healthy (at least somewhat) in the next 2 weeks, we do have a chance at Tennessee. I don't care what they've done, I also think we have a chance against A&M if for no other reason than we're familiar with them. If we could still manage those two, plus Kentucky, plus Syracuse, that puts us at 7-5, which I think is pretty much where most predicted before the season. It just hasn't been pretty getting to the point we're at now so I'm not sure it's realistic.
