In the case of LSU and Tulane, it was one sided for a very long time. Tulane was a pitiful team for long enough that it was common opinion that they were just a terrible team.
Tennessee however has just had a down period. Much like Alabama had a down period during the time that vol017 was referring to. The difference is that Alabama is now the best team in the country and has been 2 of the lasts 3 years and going for 3 out of 4 this year. Tulane still sucks and will continue.
This rivalry is streaky. One team does well while the other has down years. They they swap. They are both still all time great teams, they just have down periods.

I work with one and he doesn't even want to talk about football. When he does its just a bunch of bitching and moaning. He is a good guy but I love every minute of it.
