I don't understand the hate. Pat Dye loves Auburn and is probably responsible for Auburn being what it is today - A nationally recognized power. It would probably rip his heart out if he couldnt be around the program and yet Bama fans want to laugh at him and fabricate a thousand outrageous stories about what he does and doesnt do and Auburn fans want to bury their heads and wish him into the corn field. I think college football and the state of Alabama football is better for having Pat Dye.

Pat Dye was AD and coach and got caught lying on national television about giving extra benefits to a player. Wasn't even the best player or amongst the best that played for him. He called the kid a liar on national tv, and got busted for doing it. He was the biggest, proven cheat this state has ever known as a head coach and dishonest and willing to mark a former player nationally as a liar, to keep his secret hidden.

NCAA and a lot of people in Alabama disagree....
Pat Dye talks out of his arse....I don't know why AU doesn't slap a muzzle on him....he needs to be told to STFU.....
