I would rather give BVG a shot than give CGC another year to run us farther into the ground. He has our Defense turning around for the first time under Chizik and doing it without the help of an offense. Plus he has NFL experience and he is not soft on the players.

NFL experience seems to be a big boost at the coordinator/assistant levels, but less so at the head coach level. I.E. Weis, Sherman, Gailey, Shula, Croom. In fact the only coaches who have had success at the college level after leaving the NFL seem to be losers (at the NFL level) like Carroll, Saban, Spurrier and 2 of those were big names prior to going to the NFL.
Ultimately I think this is going to be useless discussion since I think Chiz is here for another year (for better or worse). We may have a new OC next year though.
