Florida and Ole Miss both had success having at least one defender shadow/follow Manziel. We need to adjust - ie. utilize slants, incorporate tight ends, bootlegs, etc... If we correctly attack this, then this presents opportunitys for us - if NOT, we will limit our options....

We have to have Johnny willing to throw quickly to do this.

This.

I would like to see some bootlegs, frankly. He likes to throw on the move, and that will draw his spy away from the center of the field. You put Thomas Johnson on a deep post or Swope on a deep slant coming across with Johnny Football bootlegging, right, and it's a touchdown. Or a scramble for 10+ if he can get the edge on his spy.

That's why the future is so bright. Once Johnny masters the offense he can use how teams are overcompensating to stop him against them. He just needs to be able to recognize it and make plays with confidence.

I am really ready to see some short passes to TW btw!

100% agree - Ole Miss picked us apart doing just that

Agreed. This was to be a retooling year, but the Ags have impressed. JFF is still learning and we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. He is playing on instinct right now, and once he plays on what is given to him the sky's the limit.

Love the energy/ heart - just wish our Coaching staff could mix it up when they see Defenses add this shadow backer/safety
