I was wondering when the real Aggies would show up.

Tell me about it. I haven't seen a comeback like this since the 1998 Big 12 title game.

It was a refreshing change.

it was a SHOCKING change.

My 4-day is already ruined because of this exercise, but tonight made it bearable.

Manziel had his worst game of his life and still found a way to make things happen

Yeah that TD run at the end was crazy. That defensive back clearly thought JFF was going to just run out of bounds. But he did understand that JFF is crazy

It's a rare win that you can learn from. We should have lost save for a bad formation blunder by Freeze Watch the tapes and learn from this stinker of a game.

Proud of them for never giving up. That is a refreshing turn of events.

We could have lost for any number of reasons, and I admit I thought we had.

The last half of the 4th quarter astonished me.

I fear that while its great we grew as a team...that we may just be buying time for coaches who shouldn't be there in the first place.

Which coaches are those? I don't see anyone really doing a bad job compared to some of the obvious issues we have had in the past.

I'm thrilled with the W and we were very lucky to get it. That said, we had a ton of things go wrong in this game and had we not kept giving the ball to Ole Miss and making mistake after mistake the score would have been more in line with what most expected. I really don't know if I have ever seen an Aggie game with 6 turnovers that they won (7 if you count the 4th down). I don't know that I have ever seen any team win that kind of game on the road. Unreal.

He's referring to Kingsbury. There are times when he dials up some really questionable plays near the goal line (the Malena wildcat).

Ryan fricking Gosling.

I hate every single thing about his stupid fricking offense. It needs to go. That WVU style-spread bullshite doesnt work in the SEC. Never has, never will.

this is pathetic. We punted one time yesterday but playcalling is the problem you've identified

He does have a point.

We seemed to have a big problem lining up and punching it forward when we needed 2 yards or less.

-4th and inches from OM 20: Instead of kicking the FG, we get tackled for a loss

-3rd and goal from the goalline: Tackled for a loss

-2nd and goal from the 2: Wildcat - 8 yard loss

not really. We struggled in short yardage the last few years as well. It's not the play calling.

They (like Sherman before) are finding we are unable to get the push up front in short yardage and are trying different things. Sherman got hounded endlessly for spreading it on short yardage but we failed every single time we ran out of the I and tried to power it forward so he spread it out (which actually was pretty successful but bc it's different they whined then too)

Our OL is very technically gifted. But they just don't maul people and create space. They never have.

My point is that, better playcalling in two of those 3 situations would have resulted in at least a FG attempt.

Between those 3 plays, we left 6-18 points on the field.

maybe so but I'd like to hear a suggestion. In short yardage yesterday we ran:

- a power I look (CMike hit in backfield, fumbled)
- an option play (JFF hit as he pitches to Malena who is hit for 3 yard loss)
- Wildcat (cluster you've already described)
- spread middle handoff (as described)

So it's not like we're doing the same thing over and over again. We simply can't run the ball when the opponents know we are going to try to run the ball. That's the problem and I'm as frustrated as anyone about it but dropping that on Kingsbury seems pretty misguided when he has tried some different looks and absolutely nothing is working.

How about we run a QB sneak and just plow forward?

Sumlim said it loud and clear at the begining of the year. Play calling would revolve around personnel. They are doing the best they can with the talent they have. Give them a couple of years to get the pieces in place, until then it will look sloppy from time to time.
