Updyke said he didn't make threats.
"I'm going to try to find a polygraph operator to give me a lie detector test on this and I want that officer to do the same thing. I've already got a call made to the police department," Updyke told the newspaper. "All I said was 'Oh, I'll be back,' I didn't say nothing else about coming back. I know the law. They put a felony on me."
Updyke said the officer told him he would arrest him for terrorizing. He responded with "Well, do what you've got to do."
Updyke was transferred to Amite Parish Prison, where he was held for 2.5 days on $25,000 bond.
"I got real sick over there," he said. "I'm on like 21 pills and if I don't have my medication I get real sick. I got pretty sick so they released me."
