Frankly, I'm pissed off that Alabama would even schedule a team like FAMU. It's embarrassing.
What's embarrassing is that you're a Bama fan but you don't even know who we're playing.

Instead of the universities making their own non-conference schedules, have the NCAA do it. Here is one possible way.
Divide all the division 1 teams up into 4 groups based on their BCS standing from the previous season.
So you would have the NCAA make a $hitty 2011 Auburn's schedule based on a 2010 BCS champion Auburn's success?

They'll stop scheduling high school teams when the fans stop paying to see them. I can't justify going to these games anymore, and the number of people like me is getting larger I think.
No they won't.
You are correct, Gatorhata. I sold my tickets to WKY, FAU and WCAR and made a healthy profit on all of them. For Alabama, there will always be people willing to pay above face value for those games, people who can't afford Bama vs. LSU, UT, or AU.
However, I have also owned Auburn and Vandy season tickets, and you literally can't give away Auburn and Vandy tickets vs. crappy OOC teams.
OP is basically arguing for a communist system where big government (the NCAA) controls everything...who you can and can't schedule...vs. free enterprise, in an effort to make everything the same for everyone.

No, he's just a selfish fan who wants better games but doesn't understand why playing the small schools is good for the game as a whole.

Why? It did LSU no good last year to play a great schedule.
