I would just like to say that while these times look bleak things will get better. I am absolutely pulling for the Hogs in every game but LSU.
Your AD did the Unpopular but right thing in letting Petrino go. if Petrino really cared about the job he would have never been that careless with it. In this day and age, College football is no longer about amateur sport ....it's about money. Many schools are just flat out buying wins in some way shape or form. It took guts and a terrific moral compass to to do what had to be done. Morality is failing everywhere and quickly fading from out culture, or so it seems, so be proud of your University.
I hope you folks get a great coach that's brings you to the MNC....I think you deserve it. Good luck the rest of the way.

And let me be clear this thread is not out of pity in anyway.
It's out of admiration. I know Bama wouldn't have done it. And I'm not sure LSU would have either. (Though I doubt Les would ever put LSU in a bad spot).

This is just one bad season. It's not probation and 21 schollys.
Hire a good coach, and BAM you're back in it. You had to know this season was going to be a step backward--some of the faithful just wouldn't believe it.

We had a guy who was winning games and going to Rose Bowls after the disastrous departure of Francione.
It isn't the same, but you're talking about a fan base going through purgatory, on probation, with a potential to have some success. No, we didn't fire DuBose. We should have. We learned, and canned Price.

However, things get much worse before they get better. It will feel like you have been kicked in the dick when Auburn hires Bobby P at the end of the year. They will actually offer him young pussy in his contract. It will sting but you will get over it, time will make it better.
