That i a m missing about Tennessee? Yes i am aware of the Qb and his Receivers. Is the defense actually worth a spit? i know they will have a brand spanking new kicker which hopefully has the nerves of a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. No one is giving the gators a chance and im sure the coaches love that part but it just seems odd to me. Maybe someone could edjumacate me on their defense, oline and whatever else i may have left out..

13 of 16 isn't good enough I see. They are easing him into the job slowly. What the frick do you want from him?
No INTs. Great runner. He just needs to get more comfortable with the offense and more confident. He some really great throws last Saturday.
But, because he wears Orange and Blue and you remember the LSU game from last year...he sucks.
There's a reason dogs should be kept outside.

Maybe because it's not true. Plenty of people are picking the Gators.

Tennessee will win because they don't suck as bad as Florida.

Not quite true. A lot of people are picking them, and most everybody thinks it'll be a close game that could go either way.

They're very good. Is the Gator defense good enough to shut them down? Bowling Green scored 14 on them, and A&M scored 17 on them with a new QB, a new offensive system and a new head coach in their first game. It's reasonable to think Tennessee can score more.

Doesn't look that good, but hard to tell this early. The question, though, is whether Florida can score enough even against a bad defense. Nobody was touting the A&M defense as all that great, but they held UF to 20. Outside of Gillislee, there's really not much to the Gator offense. Even Tennessee's mediocre defense may be able to keep the Gators from scoring a lot, which is what it might take to outgun Bray et al.

or maybe he's just underwhelming

How in the hell could he be overwhelming with 2 starts and only 16 passes/game?
Did you not see any of the aTm game? He was actually pretty good when he wasn't holding the ball too long.
What were Murray's stats after the first two starts he had? Hell, he hadn't even had time to get a purse after two starts.

i actually didn't think he looked too awful. i don't he was worthy of the hype he got as a recruit but i definitely see the positives. dude is as athletic as any QB in the SEC if not nation but his arm does not scare me. maybe it's his weapons too but as a passer consider me uninspired. but i mean i actually really like Pease (sp?) and with his offensive ingenuity i bet they can really find interesting ways to use driskel.
i am with my dawg friend here though because it's hard to see a pretty raw and new starter winning 2 SEC games on the road. as for your murray comparison he had
vs ULL (55-7) 17/26 160 yds 3 td 1 int / 42 yds rushing
@ USCe (6-17) 14/21 192 yds / 8 yds rushing

Jeff is 2-0 as a starter.
Murray was 1-1.
Winner Jeff.
114 yards passing in game one with a very vanilla offense trying to run the ball
162 yards passing in game two
No INTs
only 1 TD
He's not being asked to do much so it's no wonder you aren't impressed. If you don't think he'll live up to the billing then that's fine. I didn't think Murray would either after two games.
JD has no AJ if you didn't notice. He needs more tools around him and appears to be getting more comfortable.
Boom is trying to win running the ball. We really haven't tried or needed to pass a lot yet. It's going to be hard for Jeff to make you happy this year I'm afraid. That's a real shame too.
Bad thread title leads to the anchor. I'm not chasing this one down the list.
