Just curious about what your pro's & con's are even if you just watched it on tv... so stadium, atmosphere, tailgating, campus, fan experiences etc.
It was a great game yesterday (even though we lost), glad we're finally in the SEC.

You'll be hard pressed to get an argument on that one.

Y'all are definitely hardcore enough to be an SEC school, unlike Missou. Atmosphere looked great, I think y'all are a good fit.

Your fans' loud booing of the injured Florida players left a bad taste in my mouth, that's chicken shite.

We'll never be on the level of Kentucky or Vandy, you're right.

quote:Have you ever been to Kyle Field? It does look a little weird on TV because it's boxy but I got to tell you, it's one of my favorite venues. It is very easy to park and get into, very easy to get concessions and use restrooms and the view from many seats are very good. It's a very open air concept. They have a little grassy knoll that you can lay down with your kids and watch the big screen which is very cool.

Add to everything, they have great tailgating. You can walk up and meet people all along the strip. TAM fans are knowledgeable and friendly. Great place...

Ok, a major SEC school.
Y'all fit in well with the bottom of the conference.

I wish our team wasn't a gracious host...again.

Yeah, the booing of the injured players were jack, but the atmosphere seemed cool outside that. Just from the TV view.

Apparently "hard-core" means dressing up like GI Joe and marching in a straight line while guys dressed in white overalls yell "WOOOO" all at the same time.
PS - That said, everybody I know who has ever been there has loved it

No injured players were booed. The 15th player that had "cramps" and then jumped up and jogged off was who got booed as well as the player that had no one around him and looked to the sidelines and jumped in the air suddenly grabbing his leg with "cramps".
The guys that did a decent job faking got at least a nice clap and the very few that actually were hurt were treated very respectfully. A&M actually has a strong reputation for treating injured players very respectfully. Silent Kyle
Do too much faking though to mess with the offensive timing and eventually the fans are going to get annoyed.

Great atmosphere, loud, proud, and super friendly.
Pros- highlight for me was going into the field after the game. People are super friendly and welcoming. Polite, great tailgating, and drinking around campus was a plus. TAMU's band was amazing.
Cons- I wore a hat to the student center and got a put down. I apologized, and complied. She was nice about it, but it is awkward to get chastised for wearing a hat on a ordinary looking building. I did step in some sacred grass or something as well. The yell leaders? Over the top queer, but the yells themselves were great. Y'all sing a bit too much.

you couldn't tell that from the TV so I was wondering.

Sorry you had the negative experience about the hat/grass thing. Some Ags need to learn as we play a lot of new teams it is a lack of knowledge about the area than being disrespectful. LSU fans used to jump and dance on the grass when I was in school. Lots of military vets from A&M and they are serious about that memorial as it houses the 7 Medal's of Honor that Aggies were awarded. Still, Aggies need to always be gracious and ask people respectfully to honor the memorial and not snap at them.
