Look. I don't think Dooley is gonna reach the mountain top, but he'll probably leave a solid group of kids for the next guy.

Whoever takes over for Chizik is gonna have their hands full.

You could say they were excuses, but they were real.
It is hard to overcome some of the things he had to overcome the first 2 years. Even Bellichick would have struggled somewhat.

I am not saying he is perfect, he made a lot of mistakes, but I believe he has learned from it, and we will see the results this year.

If we do not see clear results, he will be gone.

You're right. Bill Battle was the worst coach Tennessee has ever had, though.

You also have no idea how Majors recruited though. Judging from his record, he wasn't bringing in great players until almost 8 years after he was hired.

Maybe, but the only thing I can look at and confidently say is SEC caliber is the passing game, and those guys will be gone by the time the next guy arrives.

I think Majors biggest problem was that he was so conservative.

I think thay had just put restrictions on how many kids you can recruit.

Majors 1st year at pitt he brought in about 100 players.

We still haven't got to see everyone else's classes pan out. UT had to play their guys early. USCe, UGA, and almost every other team in the SEC still has hardly played with their 2010 and 2011 classes.

We are now starting to see how the classes have been developing.
