Another Chizik thread.

Yep, atpb gonna atpb.

Chizik hasn't lost to a bad team since UK his first year, he lost a lot of players after winning a NC.

Nice avy. I was talking with someone on ESPN earlier who kept saying Vandy will destroy Tennessee this year.

Another Chizik thread.... He beat NC state, who else?

He inherited the one of the worst rosters in over 30 years at UT and all his best players got hurt his second year. Add that with UT having a top 5 strength of schedule the past 2 years and its going to be tough.

I certainly agree with this, but I do believe the roster is "solid". Far from a championship product, but possibly better than Auburn's.

Sure, but that doesn't really mean much to me. The East is as weak as we can realistically expect it to be, and I'm not convinced we're about to capitalize.

I guess it depends on what you consider to be solid.

Spurrier lost to Vandy back to back years. How big of a mistake would it have been if USCe fired him?

Solid is 9 wins, which is what the roster should get you.

That loss to Clemson has really got the auburn fans worried about the future.

This is about Dooley and his recruiting and coaching. I used auburn as an example because yall keep saying next year, we're young.....while Dooley just keeps working without excuses.

It may get us 9 with this schedule. It probably doesn't with some of our past schedules.

I think this year is about as good as it's going to get with Dooley. I really believe 9-3 does nothing but delay the inevitable and slow down the process of getting back to the top.

Tennessee has pretty much always been able to recruit quality players.

Assuming you're referring to the championship contender part, I hope I'm wrong.

Thats because Tennessee has been elite for more than 20 years. Me or you have no idea how recruiting was when Majors first arrived or Bill Battle was here.

You're right. Bill Battle was the worst coach Tennessee has ever had, though.
