“We’ve had opportunities to go back to the NFL and have not done it and I don’t see going in the future,” Saban said. “You can make the greatest impact on people in college and we need to be smart enough to know where we belong. I really feel like it is right here at Alabama.
“I see myself doing this forever. And when they stick you in the ground, the only thing you have is your legacy. Hopefully, mine is about helping a lot of people personally, academically and athletically.”

He'll be 61 this year. Few elite coaches remain elite into their late 60's and 70's. He's got probably 6 or 7 really good years left.
I'd be happy if he coached another 7 years. Dude's on a roll and shows no signs of slowing down. His recruiting, developing, and game day coaching is as good as any that I recall ever seeing.

after he dies, Bama fans will probably walk him out there like Weekend at Bernie's

I don't think he's going anywhere, especially if you turn down texas which is probably the best job in the country.

From a fan of a school that named its field after a guy that was forced to resign due to cheating.
Only because you like to "Keep it down home cuz"....on the plains.

But what if we do? What then?
I remember some gump, it was probably you, saying something like "I know we will win on 11/5. I don't know how but I just....know it. We're Alabama, we don't lose games like this. ever."
and then Alabama went out and lost So please, keep up with this Bama can't lose nonsense.

Sometimes the better team doesn't win.

Hey, things worked out just fine for us, didn't it?

I remember I was saying "no way we can lose" before 1/9. Mostly because I was masking my fear with bravado. I sense a similar situation with you.
Yeah but there's that splinter in the back of your mind, I know you gumps well enough to know how you think, and there's a splinter in the back of your mind about last year's team. You think it might have been one of the best teams ever but it will never really be considered such because of that loss. Because you didn't win the SEC. You people are vain enough that you can't stand to not have ALL the trophies and you can say it's meaningless all you want but I know it bugs y'all that you didn't win it with that team. And it will bother sick fricks like you for the rest of your lives. That alone is enough for me to have made it worthwhile.

i love how everybody acts like he was bobby petrino. he had a good first year and had tons of injuries his second year. listened to team doctors on brees and made the wrong choice. gotta love the revisionist history.
guess bill belichick couldnt cut it either cause he sucked with the browns. good coaches learn and there is no doubt saban is a good coach.
all that being said, frick saban and frick bama
I respect you. It's OK to hate a rival. No need to make up shite.
