This will not suffice:

quote:

I'm fine with the short denim skirt, TIGHT midriff shirt, and if you can pull it off - cowboy boots. I have pictures of that outfit from about a decade, they always look nice - the bleach-blonde hair waving in the breeze, a new push-up bra making the muffins stand proud, and the pearly white teeth daddy worked so hard to straighten making a Mid Missouri smile melt your heart. Sundresses are for tea parties, give me a Missouri girl who is ready for some football.

While acceptable attire for Friday nights and bar hopping post-game, dress attire is required for games.

You get one shot at a first impression. DON'T MESS THIS UP!!!

Oddly enough I'd heard some of the sororities with nationals located in SEC country have definitely mentioned it at chapter meetings.

Strongly disagree. It is pretty douchey.

Wanting to look presentable is douchey?

Yeah, but wait...there's "wanting to look presentable," and then there's the level Ole Miss takes it to.

While I love looking at the girls in the sun dresses, gotta agree with this

And I mean it, I love sun dresses. But, where whatever the hell you're comfortable in. I'd imagine sundresses aren't that uncomfortable though (not from experience I swear)

I always laugh at the dudes wearing suits and ties in 100 degree weather

Nay, sir. I have never and will never be associated with a fraternity. My father was not in a fraternity. My mother was not in a sorority. But all my life, as a male you at least wear khaki shorts and a red/black/white/UGA-esque polo, and as a female you simply wear a UGA-esque dress. If you want to go ultra fancy and decked out, that's your call. Me? I wear khaki or gray shorts, sandals, a red button down with the sleeve rolled up, and my black UGA hat. Nothing fancy, but jersies and t-shirts should be avoided if at all possible.

Football is a religion and our stadiums are our cathedrals. So why not dress up for church?

Actually, my fiance and all her friends fricking love wearing dresses because they're so comfortable, especially in September and early October when it's in the 70-100 degree range depending on your geography.

Can't imagine anything many things more uncomfortable than a denim skirt on a hot September day.

This is really the level that I was referring to as douchey. Maybe it's because I went to VT for undergrad and all the UVA kids did it.

The polo/khaki thing is pretty standard.

That said, I always wear a tshirt.

Probably should have specified: there's dressing comfortably nice and then there's fratting hard. You wouldn't catch me dead in a tie at a football game (but, then again, I don't wear a tie outside of weddings and funerals)

Yeah I haven't worn a tie or a button down for that matter to a game since pledgeship.

I just got some sweet khakis with the G's all down the leg that will be broken out once it gets cooler though.

I was given some red pants with G's on them for Christmas. Wore them twice during the colder months but will usually always defer to jeans, a button down, and a blazer
