Just goes to show how arrogant he is(not that anyone needed more examples), he grants an interview like 4 months after being fired right before football season.
Probably waiting for his face to heal up.

What if he was hired at Hawaii and took them to a National Championship in his first year.
What would happen to Hogville?

The series of tubes that make up the interwebs would overflow and the whole world wide web would die!

I know I'm gonna catch heat for this, but I have two different sources telling me the talks are on with Bobby. We may get him to come back and pay him about a million dollars less than he was getting before.

Arky's never going to do any better than that. As far as coaching, that goes for most programs.

Arkansas would be a grand embarrassment if they re-hired Petrino. In any fashion.

No way that would happen. What school fires their headcoach for serious infractions, and then less than a year later hires him back?
What message does that send? Winning football is more important than the integrity of the school?
How could the University of Arkansas justify that? And if this indeed is true (which I doubt), that just means that Arkansas is scared shitless that they'll never reach the success they were starting to have with Bobby.

I'm calling bullshite
If that happens and Jeff Long is completely alright with it then frick him. As of right now I really respect him, but if he willingly takes a coach that stabbed him in the back and lied to his face about something that important then he's a fricking idiot

Exactly.
And there's no fricking way he will corch at Arkansas again.

Long is a smart man. Bobby's contract was huge, almost too big. He had a friggin 20 million dollar buyout for crying out loud. Jeff wanted to get out from under that contract, and he's done that. Now Bobby is pulling a mea culpa on Sportscenter and is still in daily contact with the players and coaches. There is definitely some smoke here.

The issue wasn't that he was having an affair. The issue is that he hired his mistress into the department, which is viewed as quid pro quo...a serious HR violation.
He put the entire UofA at risk. I'm surprised there hasn't been lawsuits filed by more qualified candidates who didn't get the job due to Bobby's carelessness.
Plus, he lied over and over. Ethically, how could you hire this guy again?

The same way you retain Mr. DWI.

Mr DWI didn't lie at all. In fact, he immediately notified the department and media. He released an official media statement by the next morning acknowledging his mistake and apologizing to Missouri fans for his judgemental failure. And, he left his fate in Mizzou's hands.
He didn't try to get the cop to let him go or cover it up. He took his punishment like a man.
Mizzou didn't fire him. They took away a huge chunk of his salary, suspended him from a big game, and put him on probation.
That's the punishment they chose for him. If he'd been fired, there wouldn't be a discussion about this right now because Mizzou wouldn't be pondering it.
The two situations aren't even close...and you know it.
Pinkel and Bobby couldn't be anymore different. Pinkel's a good guy and Bobby's a frickhead.
