My prediction for Alabama's season this year

I've been spot on the last two years. I called 9-3 in 2010 and 11-1 in 2011. Will I have the same success in 2012? Bookmark this thread to find out.
Anyways...my regular season prediction for my beloved Crimson Tide is 10-2. I'm gonna cop out as per usual and refuse to guess who we lose to.

Props for being as realistic as possible. Going to be a fun season.

I wonder who it could be??? Maybe Arkansas?

Only if Cobi Hamilton improved much more than Milliner did.

Not worried about Cobi. Remember that awesome TD catch he made against Bama last year? For Arkansas to win, our o-line is going to have to improve a lot from where it was last season against Bama. That's going to decide the game, Arkansas' o-line versus Bama's d-line.

If you're front seven can't handle Alabama's offensive line beating on them, ball control will kill you more than our defensive line will.

This. Arky won't be able to stop our O-Line.

Pretty bold and honest.
LSU and UM/Hogs? (trying my best)

Bama should beat Michigan by 3 TDs

Maybe, but I'm more confident in our D-line than I have been in recent years

Of course Bama will be able to run the ball; that's what yall do. But don't sleep on our front 4, and our LB corps has a chance to be salty. Our d-line showed some flashes of dominance last season; remember when Bama couldn't punch it in from the 1 against it?
At LB, we move Senior DE Tenarius Wright to MLB to give us more size and athleticism (he was recruited as a LB out of high school). We have Alonzo Highsmith coming back at OLB, and at the 3rd LB spot we have a few options with Ross Rasner, Matt Marshall, Otha Peters, and FB Kiero Small who played LB in JUCO.
We go a legit 4 or 5 deep at DT and DE.
Again, Bama will run the ball on everyone, but our front 7 isn't as soft as people like to believe. We will stack the box and force McCarron to beat us.
But when it comes to stopping the run, Bama will actually have to defend against that this year unlike last. We didn't have Davis, and Johnson wasn't 100%. Our offense is totally different with a healthy Johnson and Davis. Yall can't just chase after Tyler all game this time.

Yeah that's the conventional wisdom. I'm a believer in Hoke, I think he will give Urban fits in the years to come. The question is do they have the horses this year. Like you say, probably not. But, this is their Super Bowl, and if you look at Coach Saban's seasons after a BCS CG, there is a pattern.

But there is also a pattern with teams that return as many starts on the OL as Alabama does. It's usually a great indication of a solid year to come.

Someone hasn't seen Denard throw.

I believe you're thinking of 2009. I don't remember an instance of that happening in 2011 against Arkansas. I don't recall a single drive that moved inside the five.

I wouldn't do that if I was you. If you can beat LSU's secondary you can beat any secondary in the country.

That is fair, but keep in mind that Bama's DL is better than a year ago, and we add more speed and athleticism at LB. Yes, we lose talent and experience with Hightower and Upshaw (and to a lesser extent Harris) though our D will be much faster.

No doubt. The issue won't be talent, it will be focus of purpose, much like LSU's case. I know he's pounding it in the kids heads. The biggest difficulty is UA is now just about everyone's Super Bowl, so there can't really be an 'off' week.
