Lester could learn a thing or two from Vinnie, correct angles would be my first suggestion.

You hear his name a lot during a game.He plays balls out.Pretty good player who gets the most out of his ability.

eta:Dudes father is a LB Coach.High School/College.Vinnie's probably had a sled and a tackling dummy in his backyard since he was ten.

You're dumb if you think the secondary is the most Important thing in a Saban defense. The exotic blitz packages far outweigh secondary play.

Blitz packages isn't a position...they can be performed by any position. In fact most of the blitzes involve the secondary...sorry if I didn't specify I meant the most important position.

I'll bet you have trouble recognizing when people are making fun of you.

Vinnie will be solid. He'll get burned in coverage some. Fans will love him.

That's not it. The thread was a comparison to Bama, which belongs on the SECrant.

you can post on the SEC board frick stick. that's why chicken created this shite hole. So you can flame LSU here instead of on that board.

The thing that cracks me up, and I'm guilty of it at times too, is that Vinnie is a great strong safety. He'll play in the NFL one day more than likely which says enough right there. But the guy is like 6'1 215, runs a 4.5 forty and hits like a train. If he was black everyone would be drooling over his measurables and ability. Because he's a white kid playing a skill position, people assume he must be slow, have a bad verticle, bad in coverage, etc, etc. The kid is a player and will be All-SEC before he leaves.

Drooling over average size and speed for a safety?

And I think that "4.5" speed might be the usual HS/Arky timed speed we see with recruits.

And our fans ARE drooling over him.

I think he'll be good, but not as great as many will remember him as being.

If Alabama was copying LSU here we would have to cut 5 inches off Vinnies legs, give him some turrible tats and show him how to blow coverages on out routes.....oh and how to smoke da fake weed.

There is no need to be so defensive about copying LSU. It's pretty obvious but if you want to deny it, go ahead.

He had a QB hurry and an assited tackle in the NC game?

Damn, this dude is bound for stardom. He'll be breaking TM7s record for forced fumbles in a career in no time.

I'm surprised any of our DB's had any tackles on 1/9.

They were all bored as hell out there.

I disagree with that. I do think without Vinnie, LSU crosses midfield two maybe three times.
