You just got to see it for yourself. It's the same for any school. Nothing is quite as good or as bad as people make things out to be when talking about stereotypes.
For example, common myths about A&M:
1) College Station is a tiny cow town. -- The MSA of B/CS is 238K.
2) You can't find anything to do. -- I love this one. You can tell who has never been to CS when people say this and are trying to dog A&M. If you can't find something to do between ~50 bars, several golf courses in the area or Lake Sommerville or Lake Bryan, then you must suck at life.

I loved bid day at Ole Miss, you could sit up top of the hill by the Union and watch girls cry as they moved their stuff out of Crosby when they didn't make the sorority they wanted and head home... literally happened both years I was there.This post was edited on 7/3/12 at 2:21 pm
