My inner ITAT won't allow me to believe that we don't win 2 more games and finish 10-3 but I'll play along anyway. If we have the same record as last year with all the experience we return and a more favorable home schedule Chizik's seat will be hot going into 2013. Even 9-4 without at least 1 win against LSU, UGA or Bama and I think you would start to hear grumblings from around 1/4 of the fanbase.

It's an even year, if we don't win nine games, especially with the returning talent, Chizik will see his seat be mighty toasty come 2013.

Looks like someone is gonna have a toasty seat in 2013. 9 wins ain't happening.

Well that's certainly a cool prediction you got there.

In even years, expectations are higher, it's just how it is at Auburn. Another 8-5 year will not be happily received.

The Cam Championship plus 28-27 guarantee Eugene a decade of 5 loss teams with nothing to worry about.

Then you would be counting incorrectly.

They may not all be recognized by the NCAA

The SEC doesn't recognize them either. Last time I checked, Bama was a member of the SEC. Y'all did accept that multi-million dollar payout handed out by the conference at the Spring meetings, right? So you're saying you don't mind accepting conference money and championships, but you refuse to recognize conference record keeping when you don't like it? This doesn't surprise me coming from a Bama fan.

When you cheat so badly that the NCAA forces you to Forfeit and Vacate games, they the do not count... Silly Bammer, wins are for winners, not cheaters...

ETA: Nick Saban OFFICIALLY (that is what counts) went 2-6 his first year...

And to think, all our players had to do was say that they didn't know and we could've gotten off without any sanctions. And if there's any program that knows about cheating it's Auburn. You've received major sanctions how many times? 7? Congrats on being tops in something

I have a phone number in Indianapolis if you'd like to complain.

a program that has been clean for over 2 decades now being chastised by a fan of a program that has been clean for over two weeks now.

Who is complaining?

With one of the all time dirtiest programs in the NCAA, your fans don't really have room for chastising anyone for cheating. Know what I mean?

There's no reason this had to turn into a flame fest. I simply pointed out that beatbammers numbers did not include wins on the field. He counted official wins only which is fine. I thought that it was worth noting that the count is quite different if one includes wins on the field. Not sure why some took that as an offense and responded with flames.

I dont hold programs in the same light as the were decades ago.

NObody considers Gt a national power but they were a long time ago.

AU hasnt been on any for of football probation in nearly two decades and it was near another decade befreo the previous occourance...but we are a dirty program still?

Ok.

It is flaming to accurately give the win total that both the SEC and NCAA give?

In a vacuum, maybe not. In the middle of a Bama/Auburn flame war over cheating, yes they are.

Of course not. Go back through this page and you'll see where the flaming started.

didn't this thread start as a flame...at least when you take into account who started it, the obvious "but i'm just asking a question" posting style of said auburn-centric poster, and the peopel that flocked to it to give their two cents?
