Funny how thats the only part people hang on to. The very next question in that interview was who was the best coach in the SEC and Spurrier answered Saban so I don't think he was taking a shot at Saban as much as people think he was.

I never discounted the next question in the interview. I'm addressing the question as an individual entity, not as a preface to the following question, which it wasn't.

Don't be so defensive. The guy is a great coach and an above-average wit, he just said something mildly retarded is all.
