A. He isn't coming to Arkansas

B. He seems to love what he is doing at ESPN and MNF

C. When did he become an offense guru of the spread offense???

D. When did he ever coach college football.

E. Other than playing a pro/am golf tournament with John Daly what is his connection to Arkansas.

I mean why is he such a hot commodity? Because of his name and personality?

Seriously.

And why we would he go to Arky and play for 3rd or 4th every year in the west with a terrible recruiting base.

Every fanbase has their "big name lock" during coaching searches. Hell we had several.

It's the Hogville mentality...

If you say it over and over, enough, you believe it will happen.

Pffft - shows what you know. Gruden is *so yesterday*. Sean Payton is our lock now. Sources say, he won't go back to the Saints after his one year suspension because he wants to play for a progressive organization.

Bundy,

they think they're getting Gruden for the same reason you thought State was landing Shaka.

EVERYONE overvalues their program.

No one with any sense wants him. You're basing your view on the rantings of a couple r'tards. Gruden is an NFL guy. Too much smiling, fund raising and baby kissing by a college coach for Gruden taste, in my opinion. Can't see him at Toadsuck Days in Conway or at the Gillette Coon Supper raising money for the program...

This.

I actually think he would be good for one reason: Recruiting on a national stage. Arkansas has to be able to recruit nationally and I do think he would bring instant presence relative to that.

But, I agree. He can continue to make as much money being a TV Rock Star or he can take a job that is going to require he bust his butt and do all the things you mention, be a daddy to 100 18 to 23 year olds, and deal with all the BOT, booster personalities, etc.

Just don't see it.

I knew we weren't getting Shaka and admitted it.

Arky fans on the other hand aren't willing to say that Gruden to Arkansas is doubtful.
