It's in Arkansas' best interest to cut bait. Keeping him on staff in any capacity after this could hurt the university more than the incident itself did.
So much of college football is building and maintaining relationships with prospective athletes and their parents. This reason alone will make BP remaining at UA a very difficult endeavor. The university's best course of action is to examine legal issues and let him go as soon as safely possible and take the stance that it will not tolerate such behavior, regardless of said person's success or role at the university.
The athletes, students, fans, and administration at arkansas deserve better that this POS.

I've thought about this overnight and the clincher is what the employee guidelines say about fraternization. I believe those rules at the UofA are very loose and do not have a bright line rule requiring termination. A tenured professor at the UofA would not be terminated, I don 't think Petrino will either.
Other coaches have done worse. Pinkel and Pitino to name two.
All that said, I would be fine if he were suspended and fined. This should give Long leverage over BMFP for the foreseeable future.

Corporations post job openings all the time as a matter of obligation, when they know in advance who they are going to hire. In fact, on one one occasion, I created a position just to be able to hire someone I thought could help our comapny.
I'm not saying he stays or goes, I just think we don't have enough information to venture a guess.

The man has already shown that he Has zero character. Everyone knew he was a coward with the way he left the falcons. Then he goes on to solidify how much of a spineless coward he is by lying about the incident and trying to cover up this affair with the person that he hired to work under him.
The guy is a proven POS that everyone outside of the coach worshipping Arkansas fanbase could see. I'm glad to see some Arkansas fans on here that actually Care about the integrity of the university.

When this story 1st broke I never imagined it evolve into what it is now. Petrino was banging a side peice, who was actually engaged to be married to a coach on his own staff...then lies to the university on about it...yeah...Im leaning toward him being gone also. Took a while for Tressel to fall but we might see some quick action by the Arky brass on this.
