Honestly do not know how I will handle that situation next year. Both my parents hold mutiple degrees from LSU. I have grown up going to all LSU games, bleedong purple and gold. Gonna be tough to be around people who hate LSU.

I grew up a huge Bama fan and had the same reaction after visiting Oxford. I'll be there in the fall

has LSU officially killed the legacy scholarships?

Yes, unfortunately. Made it impossible for me to go there, financially.

For what it's worth, I don't hate LSU. I respect their athletic program immensely and want to beat them above everyone else. But consider the place from which you'll earn your degree and hence your living and, possibly, meet your wife.

Congratulations bud. Good luck. You'll have a good time in Oxford, that's for sure.

I think there is still a chance or two to retake the ACT.
Also, honors is worthless. Employers don't give 2 shits if they see honors on your resumé.

Then the honors college is worthless.

What are you at, a 12? Tool. Do yourself a favor (aside from Vanderbilt), skip out on every SEC school. Go elsewhere.

I knew I wanted to go to Bama Law due to my family being here. But a friend of mine who is a Ole Miss Law grad told me to check out OM. I damn near changed my mind! But I love it here at Bama.

There is a very surprising number of LSU and Georgia fans who go to Ole Miss. Won't be that hard, trust me. Just root for Ole Miss in any and all other games and we won't give you a hard time.

Seriously This. I know a kid who has to write a thesis about accounting fraud .

My 2 cents. If you are half as smart as you think you are you will either go into pharmacy or accounting. Really the only two choices here.

That is terrible advice. UF, UGA, and A&m are very well respected schools nationwide.

I will never understand people who say this. I could have gone to and applied to better schools but A&M, TCU and LSU were the main schools I considered because of the people I knew there and how much fun I had at those schools while visiting.
Once you get that first job out of college you learn that college is what you make of it and as long as you get a 4 year degree from a school that people recognize, you can pretty much do whatever you put your mind to (within reason).
To the OP, congrats on the college choice and buckle up, it will be the best four (or five or six) years of your life. I've been to Ole Miss and had a hell of a time so I can understand why kids are impressed and go there.
Also, there are great schools and programs in the SEC. You can get a great education at a number of schools and if you want it combined with big time football there isn't a better conference IMO, unless you want to go to school with dbag midwesterners in the Big 10.

What is kind of funny is that the people doing the most bashing also go to shitty schools. Who cares where you go to college, Its all about who you know anyways.
