Most WKU students are UK or Louisville fans. That's just how it goes with smaller state schools in general.
Hell half of Louisville's students are UK fans.

Why don't they go to UK then?
Is it THAT hard to get in to?

I don't think it's a matter of it being too hard to get into (same with USM students who are LSU fans) - it's usually just kids that prefer to stay close to home, be it for any reason (family, cost of living, etc.)

It's not hard, but it's harder than Louisville. But it's mostly kids that are from Louisville that grew up UK fans and want to stay home for whatever reason, or scholarship money.

I remember back in the early 90's maybe, when Western KY had that good tourney run. Couldnt not cheer them on. A classy bunch of kids. They even hugged each other down the bench line when there was substitutions if I remember right. This year will be different and they wont advance. UK by 26

Charlie Strong actually had commercials that would play in Louisville urging students to not wear UK gear to class and apparently there were flyers being posted all around Louisville's campus saying the same thing.

Wow that's amazing considering the success they had with Peteino as well as their rich basketball history

Yea but there is no real unifying campus culture since it's a commuter campus. Most students go to class then go straight home and don't return until their next class. That kinda thing.

you'd think they'd want to soak up that environment with those silos by 65.

Thanks for the picks. We talk about WKU upsetting UK from time to time. We beat #3 Louisville a couple of years ago.

Are the rumors true that Kige Ramsey and Phyllis George Brown are singing "My Old Kentucky Home" tonight at midcourt before the game?

Western is not very good. If this were Murray vs UK, we might actually get a game out of it.
as it turns out, anything can happen, but dont bet the house on Western.

Barak obama believes in western so should you. He said he has w. Kentucky going all the way. He has already witness wku greatness in person.
