Could Mizzou win the East in football?

Nobody is going to give them a shot but if they beat UGA that 2nd week of the season they will be the proverbial fly in the ointment in the SEC East race.

They could very well beat us but I don't see them beating UF or USCe.

They could but I don't think they do it this year. Too many good defenses for them in their first year or three.

well the SEC East is a crap shoot this year with no definitive pack leader so, hell, why not?

Sure they could. I'd pick either UGa or USC at the moment, but Mizzou and Florida in either order are probably the next two, and they have a shot.
At the East title, that is. No shot at the SEC title for any East team in 2012.

I am conceding the game because I asked if Mizzou could win the SEC East this year?
People are giving them no chance and I see a decent football team coming back this year. I think a ton of these SEC East games are going to be tossup type games 1-5.

what is with the sudden influx of balls for the Dawgs? I mean the pick for the east would prolly be split between UGA and SCar so it's not like they are the absolute favorite to take down the east this year

No doubt that Richt will shite the bed 1 time this year against a team he should beat (see Boise St 2011). So why not Mizzou?

Won't matter. We played 9 teams that allowed less yards than Mizzou last year beating 4 of them and losing 1 because of turnovers.
Missouri played 0 teams with a D as stout as UF's.

FWIW, I just don't see UT, UGA, USCe, or UF letting Mizzou out the door with the East. If I had to place a bet (with someone else's money) at this point I'd pick USCe.
