Whatever man... Keep your blinders on then. I think Richt is a great guy, and a man of integrity, but he's not going to bring UGA to the promise land. I don't think recruiting is the main problem w/ UGA. It's only one of many. I have no qualms w/ UGA... I just think they could do better.

It doesn't matter if Mark Richt is great or not. The big question is whether Georgia can get anybody that is better. Remember Florida after 2010 was a considerably better job than Georgia and they had to settle for a highly regarded assistant coach with no head coaching experience. Same thing for Nebraska. Brady Hoke wasn't an A-list coach when he took the Michigan job. Alabama hit a homerun with Saban and Ohio State got CUM but those types of hires are very rare.

Err... reading comprehension not a strong suit?

I'm not going to defend Richt as I think he has some major shortcomings (blind loyalty = #1) but to criticize his ability to recruit, you're simply wrong.

I have no blinders on when it comes to Richt. I'm not a supporter, though I'm also not calling for his head. As others have mentioned, its not like there were a ton of great coaching options on the market this past year. Even top tier programs have had to take some relatively unproven coaches. Do I take a questionable hire over a guy who's had a track record of delivering 10+ win seasons? I honestly don't know.

I do know that this season gives us our best shot at an undefeated regular season. I doubt we make it all the way through unscathed but I see how it could be a realistic outcome.

My post was simply a response to your criticism of his recruiting. If you look at the other post that has the #s (Dallas posted I think?) you'll see that he's pretty much taken care of business in the state.
