The gap is small this year, yes. This is the smallest the gap will ever be though. The SEC will never be equivalent or better than the ACC in basketball. Not enough fricks are given in the SEC about basketball as there is in football.

I don't think so. Duke won't have a leg to stand on once Coack K is done. Y'all will still have Syracuse, though. Outside of UNC and Syracuse, there just really aren't any perennial powers in the ACC. Maryland has had sporadic success but not much more.

Then why are there 9 SEC teams this year with rpis under 100 and only 6 ACC teams? SEC just scheduled better this year? Bottom of ACC is crap this year. Bama scheduled games against Maryland and Ga Tech to help its rpi and it has actually hurt it. Would have been better off playing mid majors like Creighton or Murray State. Bama has two better wins in VCU and Wichita ST.
