If you go by this years RPI. SEC = 4 top 25 teams. ACC only has 3. I think the gap is pretty small between the two conferences.*

The gap is small this year, yes. This is the smallest the gap will ever be though. The SEC will never be equivalent or better than the ACC in basketball. Not enough fricks are given in the SEC about basketball as there is in football.
