Why was Wimp Sanderson fired?

Heard him on the radio just now. Good coach and funny guy. Don't recall the details but was he fired for off the court issues?

Bama had tons of talent during that time while LSU, UGA and a couple others made Final Four runs Wimp couldn't get past the Sweet 16 majority of his career and never did make a Final Four

He never got past the sweet 16. not even when he had Horry, Sprewell,David Benoit, Keith Askins (all NBA players) on the floor. Or when he had Derrick McKey, Jim Farmer, Mark Gotfried and Terry Conner and was a #2 seed in the tournment.

As told to me by a friend of Sanderson's who was a teacher at State:
Wimp was having an affair with his secretary. Then his secretary found out he was cheating on her with someone else at the University. She confronted him after finding out and it got heated. Next thing ya know, Wimp had to slap a bitch.

We beat Alabama 93-70 to advance to the Elite 8 in 91, but Wimp had some good teams and went to the Sweet 16 around 6 times.
