It really seems like ya'll should have won at least 9 games last season. Why all the collapses? Are ya'll happy that Sherman is gone or did you think he deserved another chance?
What are ya'll expectations this season and who is your QB gonna be?

Sherman had "another chance" after the okie lite game. And after Arky. And Mizzou. And KState.
After losing in the same fashion against texas, he didn't deserve another shot. He helped us turn the corner recruiting-wise, but had appeared to have hit his ceiling.
Expectations for this year? Play hard and learn much. Installing new systems on both sides of the ball, and the new coach Kevin Sumlin has indicated that he won't be naming a QB anytime soon (the only QB currently on our roster with any game experience is Showers, and that none too much).

Sumlin will run something similar to WVU. The one back set

Still in transition--we're not going to be slinging the ball around like Case Keenum's UH teams, but coming from the bevo9 we're definitely not built for the ground and pound game that you have to have to go toe to toe with SEC powers. Therefore, we'll have to open it up a little, but we have a solid stable of RBs and a dependable Oline so I suspect we'll try to play power football more and more as the season wears on.

We are going to create one on one mismatches. That's what CKS and Kliff Kingsbury do.

Aggie Football didn't have a 2011 season... We were blacked out drunk

Not power football. Sumlin has already said that this team can't win a 9-6 sledgehammer fest, because we don't have the depth. We'll spread you out and look for mismatches.

Any chance Davis starts this year?

There's a chance. We have 2 RS Soph's, a RS Freshman and a True Freshman.
RS-S Jameill Showers is the returning back-up under Sherman. Throws the prettiest deep ball and is mobile
RS-S Joeckel is the tallest and the only pocket passer. Most accurate of the 4.
RS-F Manziel was 1st Team Parade AA in HS. Had video game stats. Very athletic. Could likely get a lot of PT at WR if he wanted. Seems to have all the intangibles
True Fish Matt Davis. The highest rated recruit and probably most athletic. 4.4 speed and a strong arm

So, Big Kat, knowing that you have our QB situation down pat:
Will you be at one or both of the "games" this spring?

I'm just giving the details of what's known/believed to this point. You know that
And I'm trying to make it to Friday Night Lights. If not I'll be at the Maroon & White game. Our first win of the Sumlin era

Next question. Is your D built to stop 4 quarters of a power rushing game or will it be a few more recruiting classes before this happens?

Need a few more recruiting classes. Our defense has adequate speed, but hardly enough strength to hang tough for 4 quarters of power football.

Last year came down to two words:
Strength and Conditioning.
We blew leads in the last half because of our lack of S&C. Sumlin even commented that after watching us practice, that was our biggest weakness. This is something he made sure to concentrate on. Hopefully we've got it fixed.

Sherman had tons of chances. At least he left us with talent and a pretty solid 2012 class that we somewhat held together. The S&C comment is completely right, and Sumlin has been hammering it home in every interview he's done.
As far as expectations this season, it would be pretty disappointing if we didn't make a bowl game, but I haven't seen us play yet. The QB battle will be an interesting one and is wide open.

Sherman said it best in his exit interview. About 6 plays were the difference in 9 to 10 wins and a 7-6 season.

this is what happened
and no, I don't the deserved to stay on though I am surprised we actually canned him.
I was thinking he would squeeze out at least two more years.
