How'd we do in the latter 3rd of the season when we got back most of our defensive starters? How'd we do against USCe? TN? KState? Mississippi St?

Those little shifts in performance happened to coincide with a few 1st team defenders getting healthy. Make of that what you will.

You want to use the injury excuse? Really? How about us losing the top 4 RBs at various points of the season. Losing our starting left tackle for the year. Our starting center missed most of the games this year. Having our kicker hampered throughout the year due to injury. We were without multiple players on defense. One of our top defensive ends, Brad Madison played the season with a bad knee and where he couldn't raise one of his arms above his shoulder requiring surgery. We lost our starting middle linebacker for the year. We had multiple injuries knocking out some of our starters in the secondary.

Missouri was one of the most banged up teams in the nation last year.

If the big 12 wore your team down last year then you won't make it out of september without some major depth issues.

Point taken and, to be honest, I didn't realize that because Mizzou is so irrelevant nationally.
