David Palmer was not so much blistering fast as he was lightening quick. The blistering fast one back around that time was Pierre Goode but his best track event was the 100 meter hurdles. FYI, I think he is still the track coach at Stillman College.

IMO, part of the reason Pierre was better at hurdles than at the 100 meter was the same reason he was not a great receiver. His head bobbed too much at full speed so he was not able to track the ball exceptionally well.

Yeah, I'll give you that. His acceleration was off the hook.
