Sounds like he's being a baby to me. Pretty much every program in the country has study halls and early workouts for punishment or just for the hell of it.
Not sure what he's bitching about. Needs to get his might straight if he's wanting to be the contributor they expect him to be this year.

Another kid who wants everything to be handed to him...

^^Exactly - He's bitching about punishment workouts? what the hell did he do to put himself in a position to have to get up and do punishment workouts?
Dude needs to get himself focused and ready to play ball, and quit whining about study hall and workouts.
